You may purchase online 24/7/365. Our in-branch hours are Monday to Saturday, 10am-5pm.

Our prices are based on the live metal markets and fluctuate accordingly. During periods such as weekends and bank holidays when metal markets are closed we update our price on a risk-adjusted basis. 

All prices are quoted in British Pounds Sterling. Bullion purchases are not eligible to earn Rewards points, and Reward points cannot be redeemed against bullion purchases.

  • The maximum single payment by debit or credit card is £10,000
  • Your residential address must match the billing address of the debit or credit card used for the purchase

Payment via bank transfer
Online:
  • Once you have registered an online account and logged in you will be able to access the cash management screen 
The process to pre-fund your Bullion account in to order make a purchase is as follows:
  • Enter your details on the form at the bottom of the screen and click submit. You must provide the bank details for the account from which you will be sending the funds which has to be a UK bank account in your own name.
  • On receipt of the form, we will contact you usually within 1 working day. For anti-money-laundering reporting purposes we need to confirm certain information with you in advance.
  • We will then email you our bank account details for the funds transfer.
  • You transfer the funds to the specified account. Please allow 1-2 days, as times may vary according to your bank. When the funds reflect in our account we will notify you by email within 1 working day.
IMPORTANT
  • You have a maximum of 2 working days, from the time we confirm receipt of funds, in which to purchase your bullion. After this time all unspent funds in your bullion account will be remitted automatically to your bank.
  • Please ensure that you allow sufficient funds for your purchase and for any upward price movement between the transfer date and the purchase date. Any unused funds will be returned to your bank account within 48 hours.
  • We do not charge a transaction fee for this service.
Please do not send funds to our account without notifying us in advance via the online form.

In branch:
  • After verification of your documents at the branch we will advise you of a client reference number and our bank account details for the funds transfer
  • You transfer the funds to the specified account. Please allow 1-2 days, as times may vary according to your bank.
  • When the funds reflect in our account we will notify you by email or telephone within 1 working day.
  • Book an appointment to return to the branch and purchase your bullion.
  • Any excess funds will be returned to your bank account.

Payment in cash (branch only)
  • Cash settlement will only be accepted for cumulative transactions below £10,000 in a 12-month period.
  • If you would like to pay cash in another currency, we will convert up to an equivalent of £5,000 for you at our customer buy rate, subject to internal foreign exchange rules.
  • Harrods Bank account holders are not subject to the £5,000 restriction and may convert up to £10,000 in foreign currency if required.
Please note that we do not accept payment by cheque, traveller’s cheque or Harrods Gift Card.
