Does Harrods store bullion?
Harrods Safe Deposit is a highly secure facility that has been in existence for more than 100 years. As a discreet department of the Harrods store it is separate from Harrods Bank. You can rent a safe deposit box of variable size, a safe or an entire strong room. For this reason Harrods Safe Deposit is subject to tight regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and has a separate application and identity checking process that takes a minimum of 24 hours to complete. Your safe deposit facility must be set up before you can deposit your gold and can only be done by you in person. (Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you decide to store in this way we recommend that once your storage unit has been set up, you purchase the bullion in-branch or online with branch collection. It is then a simple procedure for you to deposit the items.
