Can I buy bullion in the name of a corporation, trust or pension?

No. Currently we only sell to private individuals.

Is there a minimum or maximum spending limit?

The maximum single card purchase is £10,000. The maximum purchase, by pre-funded cash balance, is £99,999. If you wish to place a larger online order please contact us.

There are currently no limitations on purchase orders.

Do I get Rewards Points for bullion purchases?

No. Harrods Bank does not currently offer Harrods Rewards points on bullion.

Is it better to purchase larger or smaller bars/coins?

The premiums on larger bars are significantly lower than on smaller bars and therefore more cost effective to buy than coins or smaller bars. However, the coins and smaller bars provide more flexibility, allowing you to liquidate your bullion holding in smaller increments. Also, UK Sovereigns and Britannia’s offer UK tax payers the benefit of not incurring Capital Gains Tax (CGT).
The ultimate choice depends on your personal requirements, tax status and investment time horizon.
You should discuss the tax implications regarding your product choice with your own tax/financial advisor prior to making a purchase.
Please note that Harrods Bank is not authorised to give any investment or taxation advice.
