HOW DO I MAKE A DEPOSIT IN TO MY ACCOUNT?
Customers can either send a cheque payable to the account holder(s) with their application form or wait until they have account details before making payment. Once an account is opened, we will write to customers with their account number and details of how to make their initial deposit electronically or by cheque.
HOW CAN I OPERATE MY ACCOUNT?
Customers can operate their account by post, by coming in to the branch or by telephone. Certain transactions can be carried out by telephone where customers have completed and returned a Code Word Mandate form – which is sent out to customers with their welcome pack when an account is opened.
WILL I BE CHARGED TO WITHDRAW MY MONEY AT THE END OF THE TERM?
There will be no charges for Faster Payments but customers wishing to use CHAPS payments will be charged per the Bank’s tariff.
I HAVE POWER OF ATTORNEY FOR MY MOTHER/ FATHER (ETC.), WHAT IDENTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO SUPPLY?
Harrods Bank requires a certified copy or the original of the Power of Attorney Document. Identity and address verification is required for both the account holder and the Attorney.
I HAVE POWER OF ATTORNEY FOR MY MOTHER/ FATHER (ETC.) AND I CAN SUPPLY THE CERTIFIED COPY OF THE POWER OF ATTORNEY BUT MY MOTHER/FATHER ETC. HAS NO UTILITY BILLS/ BANK STATEMENTS THAT CONFIRM THEIR ADDRESS. WHAT CAN I SUPPLY?
A signed letter from their care home or from a medical professional (e.g. Doctor) confirming their residence will be acceptable.
